Everywhere we go, we see that the harvest is plentiful, just as Jesus said.

For nearly 80 years, EHC has led every home outreaches in nearly 200 nations, taking the good news of Jesus to over 2.6 billion homes and responded to over 300 million people who contacted our offices asking to know more about Jesus.

Today, we're reaching more people than ever before—even in the world's most difficult nations.

A young visionary pastor

EHC was founded in 1946 in Prince Albert Saskatchewan by Jack McAlister, a young visionary pastor of only 22 years of age.

God ignited in him a passion for lost people, and he determined to communicate the message of the Gospel to everyone possible, everywhere possible.

Jack saw the multitudes and was concerned for lost humanity his whole life long.

From small beginnings, the steady pursuit of this God-given vision established EHC on a path that has lead tens of thousands of Christians to the homes of literally billions of people of all ages in diverse cultures.

A strategy to reach people home by home in every nation

A methodology, called The Every Home Strategy, was born. Its purpose was simple: to go to every place where people live—a village, a city, a solitary hut on a mountain side, a prison cell, a hospital bedroom—in nation after nation and present a gospel message in print and other formats to as many people as possible.

Working with nationals

As the organization matured, national Christian leaders emerged in scores of nations, with a commitment to reach the lost and make disciples. The messengers, able to speak the language and relate naturally to their own culture, share the message of Christ’s Gospel with everyone willing to listen.

Exponential growth

EHC has grown exponentially over decades of ministry. Today, a global network of several thousand coworkers and some 40,000 volunteers, visit more than 200,000 homes every day.

Millions enlisted to pray

A key factor contributing to the growing impact of EHC is a strong prayer mobilization initiative that has helped Christians pray for lost people in every corner of the world. As prayer-related initiatives flourished, EHC’s global work was energized as never before. Over the decades, millions of hours of prayer have been poured out for the world.

Making disciples

As the ministry’s impact increased, millions of people heard and responded to the gospel. In many of these places, no churches existed or were within proximity. In those places, EHC began to establish “Christ Groups”—small gatherings of believers who could pray, worship and study the Bible together, encourage one another, and learn simple strategies to reach their own neighbours with the gospel. Over the years, more and more Christ Groups have matured into healthy churches, serving their own nation.

Equipping Christians

Resources to assist Christians in prayer and easy-to-use evangelism materials are at the part of the every home strategy in every nation where we work. We provide training for Christians so that they can go out with personal strategies, equipped with clear resources adapted to their context. Through it all, lives were changed by the power of Christ.

Reaching unreached people groups

EHC has been a leader in the quest to identify unreached people groups and bring the gospel message to them. In Africa, the gospel has transcended racial barriers. In Europe, ministries led by EHC have had a global impact. In Asia, the Word has gone out to more people in more places than ever before. Across the islands of the Pacific, hundreds of EHC evangelists have been sent out as missionaries. And in Latin America, the ministry reached people from the Amazon basin to the megacities of Brazil.

EHC today

After nearly 80 years of ministry EHC’s vast network of Christians have reached over 2.6 billion homes in nearly 200 nations. Ministry offices around the world have responded to more than 300 million people who have expressed their desire to know more about Jesus and his gospel and establish some 500,000 Christ Group fellowships for new believers.

In Canada

In Canada EHC is leading the Finding the Hope nation-wide gospel outreach. Through this unique initiative we help churches connect people in their community with the gospel of Christ and with local churches. We also provide individual Christians who desire to pass along a gospel message to others with easy-to-use resources.

The promise of Jesus

Jesus promised that there would always be good soil. Decades of global ministry have proven over and over again that some gospel seeds will fall on good soil, wherever it is sown.

Everywhere we go, we see that the harvest is plentiful, just as Jesus said. The gospel is for everyone and EHC Canada continues to work with vast networks of Christians around the world to reach as many people as possible everywhere possible.
