The gospel of Christ is the hope of every generation, every society, every person. It is the light that helps people find their way one by one and collectively.
In Canada today, the absence of the gospel in society is simply catastrophic. Our nation is like a ship on troubled waters with no compass.
The Finding the Hope outreach was launched in response to this profound need. We continue to pray and work to create opportunities for people in our nation to be exposed to the gospel, receive follow up, and connect with a local church.
Few of God’s people have political or social influence, but each of us can have influence through prayer. We can lay our nation and its more than 41 million people lovingly at the feet of our Lord, trusting wholeheartedly in his endless compassion, mercy and love for our neighbours and nation.
As we celebrate the founding of Canada this July, let’s set aside regular time to intercede at the throne of grace for our nation.
Finding the Hope outreach
Let’s pray for an increased number of churches willing to participate in a Finding the Hope outreach in their community. The Finding the Hope resources and strategy were created specifically to help churches connect with every home in their community. May the Lord open new doors of partnership and bless this unique outreach with lasting fruit.
Government Leaders
Let’s pray for leaders at every level of government, that they will be awakened by the Lord to their duty of care to people at every stage of life, from young children to the elderly. May they be influenced by advisors who know the Lord and understand the ethical weight of their responsibilities.
Revival in the Church
Let’s pray for a renewal of devotion to the Lord, his Word, and his mission. May the Lord raise up the Canadian Church to once again be a people of prayer who bring the Good News of salvation to the lost.
People Receiving the gospel message
Let’s pray for people who are receiving the FTH booklet, that the message will bear much fruit in their lives, that they will know the love of God and be drawn to him by his Spirit.
Spiritual Awakening Across the Land
Let’s pray for an outpouring of God’s Spirit upon our nation, to awaken in people the awareness that God is present and that he can be known. May God stir in them a desire to know him and to walk with him.
Let’s pray fervently for our nation and its 41 million people. May the Lord, in grace and mercy, hear and answer the prayers of his people.
