We remember with gratitude our nation’s sons and daughters who have fallen on the battlefields of the world. We remember that the freedom we enjoy today is made possible by their sacrifice.
We also remember those who serve today in the cause of peace and freedom everywhere. May God preserve their lives. May his presence be with them to lead and to guide; may he grant them great wisdom and courage every day.
We pray for peace to come in nations with military conflicts and for God’s preservation of innocent people.
We pray for the families of those who have fallen in combat and for the families of those who serve in military operations today.
O Lord of mercy and grace, may your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
